Project overview
Illustration of two people sharing a kiss on a yellow wooden bench, surrounded by greenery.

Women in Urbanism Canada is a national women-led non-profit organization that is working to create feminist cities. They were at a turning point, as a newer organization that had pieced together a lot of their brand without a strategy behind it. Their website and some of the elements of their brand were not up to WCAG accessibility standards. They were ready to grow their organization and increase their impact.

We supported the re-brand every step of the way. We started with developing their brand strategy to set a solid foundation for the organization for years to come. The brand strategy includes their vision, mission, purpose, goals, audience profiles, the buyer journey, industry analysis, competitive advantage, brand voice and personality, and positioning.

We used the brand strategy to build out their visual identity. Creating a brand which is feminine, youthful, and supportive. Their new color palette has colors with higher color contrast, to improve accessibility. Their website was re-designed with accessibility in mind. We launched their website and new branding in spring 2026. Our work together will allow them to grow their membership, confidently seek out major donors, and make tangible positive impacts in cities across the country.

Since launching their new brand, Women in Urbanism Canada has received $297,500 in funding to build capacity in their organization.
