Your website helps your community understand what you offer and connect with you. Having a polished and easy to navigate website helps visitors take your desired action, whether that be signing up for an event, making a donation, or making a purchase. But you might be wearing many hats and website designer may not feel like the best fit on your head. You want your website to resonate with your community and be easy to update so you can focus on what you do best.

I’ve been there. I used to work in social impact orgs where I was wearing many hats, including website editor, IT support, copy writer, photographer, graphic designer, and the list goes on 😅

Over time, I’ve learned what you actually need to build an impactful website. I’ve taken off a lot of the hats I was trying to wear, and focused on website strategy and design so you don’t have to. Now I translate my clients’ visions into beautiful, custom, and accessible websites.

I know you don’t need a stuffy corporate designer giving you a generic process and website. That’s why I take a laid-back approach, tailored to your needs and capacity. All of my work with clients is thoughtful, strategic, and meaningful. I dive into your org to learn what makes you ‘you’ so I can design a website that’s based on your values and mission. That’s why working with me results in a website that builds more trust and investment in your organization.

Our Collaboration Process

You can expect a streamlined and thoughtful process when working with Lemonade Co.

  • We start by booking a 30 minute intro call to learn about you and your goals. You can ask us anything during this meeting to make sure we are a good fit for your project.

  • You’ll receive a proposal from us within a couple days that includes the project approach, timeline, and investment.

  • Once you’ve decided to move forward, we will send over your contract and first invoice. Most projects are broken into two payments, one up front and one before deliverables are sent at the end of the project. In some cases we can break these into smaller payments for larger projects.

  • You’ll receive an onboarding package from us with details of our next steps. We set up your client portal in our project management software. We use Notion to keep track of the project deliverables, due dates, and gather feedback along the way. We send you a video walkthrough of the portal and how to use it.

  • Before our kick-off call we’ll send you a questionnaire to fill out about your website needs. We’ll book a kick-off call where we dive into your strategic priorities, your goals, and your design style. This is where you can share your vision for your website and we’ll take it all in.

  • Based on the strategy session, we'll develop an outline for each page of your website and a menu map. This will identify the pages we will create, and each section of each page. You review the outline and menu map at this stage to make sure everything you need is included. You can request up to two rounds of revisions at this stage to ensure the plan for your website fits you just right. 

    If we are writing your copy and sourcing stock photography for you, this will happen after this stage. If you are providing your website copy and images, these will be due to us at this stage.

  • We’ll design your website homepage based on the outline we’ve created and send it to you for feedback. Each package includes two rounds of feedback and refinements at this stage. After you’ve signed off on the design for the homepage, we will start to build out the rest of your website. 

  • We’ll deliver the full website to you for feedback. Each package includes two rounds of feedback and refinements at this stage. We’ll make any required edits and get your site ready to publish.

  • To close out the project, we’ll book an off-boarding call with you and provide an off-boarding package with information on how to use and edit your new website. We work with Squarespace because it provides a very user-friendly experience, and we’re confident that most of our clients will be able to edit their site later with ease. If you do have any trouble, we offer 1:1 support for websites after they’re built.  We can also craft a website launch announcement post for social media and help you share your new website with your community!
